Caving is one of Laura's passions. My first cave was Mammoth when I was ten years old. Since then I have always loved caves and caving. I am part of the National Speleological Society, the Windy City Grotto and the Near Normal Grotto, as well as the Karst Conservancy of Indiana. In May of 2005 I went back to Mammoth for the second time, having joined the Cave Research Foundation. As of January 2008, I took on the role of Eastern Operations Personnel Officer, which means I handle requests from people to join the CRF. I continue to go the Mammoth area frequently to help survey the cave and other caves in the area. My other favorite place to go is Sullivan Cave near Bedford, Indiana. Here is a video from our trip to the Emergence of the River on February 25, 2006! This trip was a huge feat for all of us.
