I love to write, as well as to read. Jeff also loves reading. We could devote a whole page to the books we treasure. A few months ago I read Year Zero by Jeff Long which was excellent. I have read some of his other books as well, the first being The Descent, which I found quite intriguing. The latest book I finished was The Name of the Wind by newcomer Patrick Rothfuss. This first installment was really good, and the story is incredibly promising.
And I just started reading Forest Mage, the 2nd book of the Soldier Son Trilogy by Robin Hobb. I also love fantasy works such as George R.R. Martin, J.V. Jones, and Robin Hobb.
Regarding my writing, which has fallen again to the wayside, except for my caving trip reports, here is what that's all about. Before I could write, I drew pictures. I've been writing stories since I was about twelve. I have a novel in progess, but it may take me awhile before it's ever completed!
